Bunny girls have come to be an archetypal sex symbol world over and kawaii anime culture somehow always manages, as if we were to often forget this fact, to oh-so theatrically remind us. Representing femininity, innocence and playfulness, this work, while still maintaining its cutesy and sensual appeal, gives the cliché bunny girl a more challenging connotation. What at first glance is a quick break to smoke, is redefined by uncomfortable plug-ins and ensuing tears. With its attractive latex and friendly robotic ears, it’s almost easy to miss the meaning of this artwork.
